What is an apprentice?
An apprentice is an individual who learns a trade through a combination of on-the-job training (OJT) and related classroom instruction under the supervision of a journey-level craft person or trade professional in which workers learn the practical and theoretical aspects of a highly skilled occupation. The apprentice earns a livable wage with segmented increases as they progress.
For more information on training requirements, you can attend an Apprenticeship Orientation. Orientation is held on the first Monday of each month at 11:00 AM at the Local Union offices.
